Diabetes
Services provide for a population covering Christchurch City with the
catchment area extending from the Clarence River in the North to the
Rakaia River in the south.
For rural Canterbury, the Diabetes Services undertakes regular Outreach visits to rural communities, taking a complete multidisciplinary team. This not only allows patients to be reviewed within their own practitioner's environment but also allows for up skilling the local doctors and allied health staff in care of people with diabetes.
