Chaplain

Women's & Children's Health believes that the Chaplaincy Team is an integral part of the provision of healthcare.

There is a Chaplain at Christchurch Women's Hospital, Monday - Thursday.  A Chaplain to Roman Catholics and a Chaplain to Maori are also available.

We have an on-call 24 hour service.

Your Nurse, Midwife, Social Worker or Ward Clerk can arrange for a Chaplain to visit you.

A Hospital Chaplain can offer:

• Time to listen

• Confidentiality

• Encouragement

• Support

• Help in looking at life issues

• Prayer

• Church Sacraments

• Blessings

Chaplains are available to respond to patients, their family or whanau and members of staff.
