Lincoln offers a modern "Low Tech" birthing room complete with spa bath, shower and toilet.  There is a small lounge adjacent for your support people to use.  The suite has easy access to a spacious private garden.

Your partner and other support people are encouraged to remain and support you in labour and to participate in the baby’s birth.  Please feel free to discuss any special requests or preferences with your Lead Maternity Carer or Lincoln Midwife so that they can help make your birth experience as memorable as possible.

Bring any items with you which may be helpful during your birth e.g. a favourite pillow, barley sugars to suck, CD's, camera and flash etc.

After the birth you may share a room with one other, or have a single room, depending on availability. Your baby stays with you, so you can get to know each other.

Pregnancy & Parenting Classes

Lincoln offers Pregnancy and Parenting Classes. Six x 2 hour evening sessions over six weeks during which we discuss aspects of pregnancy, labour & Birth, breastfeeding, childcare and safety in the home. These classes are taken by qualified childbirth Educators. Occasionally we arrange classes on Saturday mornings. Classes are held at the hospital throughout the year.
