Arterial Blood Gases
We have available 3 models designed for training in the drawing of arterial
blood samples for monitoring blood gases. The model includes: a pulse bulb
providing realistic arterial pressure, has a flexible wrist, allows fluid to be
infused, includes deltoid injection pad for practicing intramuscular injections,
and allows practice in both radial and brachial sites.

Breast Examination
We have available two different types of models for developing skills in
breast examination.
The diagnostic breast examination kit includes a life sized breast in a holder.
The breast contains a simulated carcinoma, fibroadenaoma and benign cyst for
aspiration.
The strap on breasts are ideal for teaching breast and axillae examination and
includes the lower neck, clavicle, both axillae and breasts with some normal and
some abnormal nodes present.

Knee Aspiration
Three
models are available for the practice of aspiration in realistic conditions. The
anatomy of the knee is comprehensive and includes the femur, tibia, collateral
ligaments, cruciates, patella ligaments, fat pad, menisci and synovial sac
charged with aspirant. The appearance is extremely lifelike with the surface of
the skin allowing for repeated needle insertion.

Prostate Examination
We have 3 Diagnostic Prostate Trainers available to assist students in
learning to palpate the prostate gland. The models will assist the student to
learn the basics of the rectal examination as well as distinguish between the
"feel" of the normal prostate, i.e. benign, enlarged, as well as various grades
of prostatic malignancies.

Shoulder Injection
Training
sessions are available on soft tissue joint injection for the treatment of
injury and arthritis. Students are able to identify the sub-acromial space, the
acromioclavicular joint, the tendon sheath of the long head of the biceps and
the glenoid fossa from the anterior and posterior aspect, as well as to practice
joint injection into this area.

Venipuncture
We have available 9 venipuncture trainers which permit the injection of
fluids and the drawing of blood and enable the user to improve competency and
technique by progressing from easier larger veins to the more difficult smaller
veins.
A 'pop' is felt as the needle enters the vein, followed by a realistic flashback
of simulated blood confirming the proper needle placement
