North Canterbury Health Hub -
Summary of Public Consultation 2012
The public consultation was conducted from March
30 – May 6 2012 to
receive community input into the services and location of the proposed hub.
The consultation included:

Five public meetings in the Waimakariri and Hurunui
regions.

A survey posted on CDHB website and hard copies
available in public libraries and council offices (Waimakariri and
Hurunui)

Inclusion of surveys in the Northern Outlook, a
paper distributed throughout both regions.

Further meetings with key stakeholders including
the councils, health advisory groups, general practitioners in
Waimakariri and the Primary Health Organisation.

Presentation at the Healthy Day at the Pa for the
Tuahiwi community

Request for submissions
There was an excellent response with approximately 200
people attending the public meetings; 2972 surveys were returned and 15
submissions were received.
