Kevin obtained both his BMLSc and his post graduate DipMLS at Otago University. He worked for Medlab South in Haematology Department for 5 years before taking up the position of Core Haematology Section Head at Canterbury Health Laboratories in July 1999. In June 2007 Kevin moved into the Quality Managers role at Canterbury Health Laboratories, which was combined with the Business Development role in 2009. Kevin is the Vice President of the NZIMLS and has a strong interest in MLSc education.
