Judith commenced her training in 1981 with the Canterbury Hospital Board and qualified at the end of 1985 with certificate levels in both Haematology and Transfusion Medicine. In 1986 she did a Specialist level in Transfusion Medicine while being responsible for crossmatching then antenatal/serology. Judith was Charge Technologist of Blood Bank in Wanganui 1987 - 1995 when she returned to run the Laboratory in Ashburton Hospital for Canterbury Health Laboratories. She is currently studying for a degree in Business Studies.
