Graeme trained and qualified in the Christchurch Hospital Laboratories, specialising in Microbiology. As section Head of Bacteriology and Parasitology, much of his work now is attending to the daily administrative operations of the laboratory however Graeme still retains an active interest in human parasitology and acts as a reference centre for it.
