INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH, FAMILY, WHANAU

Kia ora, Talofa and welcome to our website for children, youth and their family, whanau, interested in mental health issues.

We are a group of youth and family, whanau who have or are presently involved with the child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health Services (CAF) at the Canterbury District Health Board.  We work alongside services to promote a partnership approach and support child, youth and family, whanau involvement within the service.  Our goal is to help develop the best possible quality of care by gathering information and feedback from those of you who have been involved in our service either as a consumer or family, whanau, friend etc.

The team behind this website consists of youth and family members on the CAF Rep Group, the Youth Consumer Advisor and the CAF Family Advisor.  You can check out a description of our roles and who we are in About Us.

We hope that this website will help build a sense of community and invite further participation in improving mental health services for children and youth and their family, whanau.

On our site, you will find some information about us, some links to some great sites about mental illness, wellness and recovery; find some cool ways you can interact and contribute to our work; read the latest news from the service, plus sign up to our mailing list so you'll never miss a beat!

Please bear with us while the website is under construction and we would appreciate any ideas or comments about what we have so far and what else you would like to see.  Email us on cafreps@cdhb.health.nz
